A number of analysts from the
financial and business services companies, Moody's, estimates that Apple and
Microsoft have a big effect in the industry of information technology (IT) in
the next year. Both companies will become the two rulers of the IT industry.
Apple and Microsoft are expected
to control half of the operating profit of the IT industry next year. IT
spending is expected to rise four percent compared to three percent this year.
This is at once a major increase from 2016, which declined two percent.
"Revenue growth will be
driven by the purchase of equipment and software , as well as services related
to ongoing migration from the old IT architecture to the cloud -based system
," the report said in a Moody's report, as quoted by Softpedia on Saturday
(17/12/2017 ).
In addition, Moody's also
highlighted the PC market is expected to decline, but only a single digit. The
low decline is considered to help the PC market after a major decline in recent
years.
Microsoft and Apple products
Apple has a sizeable market share
in the smartphone industry . Moody's analysts predict the line of iPhone 8 and
iPhone X will be more popular next year.
In addition, sales in the server
market will also increase thanks to a number of Intel's latest processors and
the increasing needs of various cloud service providers .
Since Satya Nadella replaces Steve
Ballmer as CEO of Microsoft, the company is increasing its focus on cloud
services business . Today, the business is a major factor in Microsoft's growing
revenue.
