How Does a Spider Make the Net?

Spider webs | Creative Commons

The spider makes a net to catch its prey. Anyone know, how the spider makes a net?

Silk Thread

To make a house, we need wood, sand, cement, and water. But, the spiders do not need these materials, these animals need only silk thread to build a net that they will occupy as a house.

Some steps

Spider webs are made in several stages.

The first stage, the spider will throw a strong net into the air. The net is usually thrown toward a bufferable object, such as a tree trunk or branch that is strong enough.

Once linked, the spider will pursue the thread while removing a loose new thread. When finished, the center of the second thread will be pulled down to form a triangle.

Next, the spider will make the radius of the net connected to the net point. The radius of this net serves as the foundation. Oiya, these net fingers are made of thin, but strong, yarn.

When finished making the fingers of the net, the spider will begin to weave the yarn from the midpoint in a circle. The yarn woven from this midpoint usually contains glue and is charged with ensnaring insects.

The center of the net (pink) is usually made of nonsticky yarn, while the outer part of the net (blue) is made of sticky yarn.
