Apple CEO Tim Cook , issued a surprise
statement not long ago. The number one person at Apple said, social media
(medsos) could have a devastating effect if the user does not have complete
control.
In an interview with Lester Holt on
NBC Nightly News , Steve Jobs's successor reveals, the problem that is now
happening in the medsos industry is not the advertiser's fault that targets a
particular group or individual, but Medsos itself can be a 'tool' that can
solve and even manipulate humans .
"I do not really think about big
issues like advertisements from foreign governments, that's maybe 1 percent of
a big issue that we should be aware of should be tackled," Cook said as
quoted by The Verge on Monday (6/11/2017).
"The bigger issue is that medsos
can now be controlled by parties who want to make it a tool to break the
community, manipulate, spread hoaxes ." I think this is the main issue to
be taken care of, "continued the bespectacled man.
However, according to Cook, medsos
efforts to tackle the circulation of hoax information that could destroy the
community should be appreciated. Therefore, Apple also helped all companies
medsos handle this case.
"They have worked hard, and not
all of them are the same, the technology is different, they have different
principles, values, and business models, we have to work together," he
said.
2 minority warriors, Robert Kennedy
and Martin Luther King Jr., admitted also an inspiration that makes him dare to
confess gay.
For your information, Tim Cook himself
became the company 'commander' since August 2011, after Steve Jobs's death. His
track record in Apple itself is quite old. Cook joined Apple in 1998 as Senior
Vice President of Worldwide Operations.
Under the wheel, Apple continues to be
a success and one of the most prestigious technology companies in the world.
Many say, Apple's innovation under Cook's tenure so advanced.
However, not a few who criticize
Apple's device during the leadership of Cook no innovation at all, not even as
big as the time of Steve Jobs lead.
