the task of recording. With the virtual keyboard in the smartphone one can

In the 1870s, Canadian Duncan MacKinnon and New York City resident Alonzo
T. Cross of Providence, Rhode Island made a stylograph pen. The pen is a hollow
tube and a wire that acts as a valve.
Stylograph pens are commonly used for drawing and are popular for
writing. While mass production of pens was done in the 1880s in the United
States.
At that time, most of the pens are filled with the opening of the ink
holders, and drips the ink into the ink container using an eye dropper
(pipette). But this way of filling ink is difficult and not tidy.
More modern design improvements were then made by Waterman, Walter A.
Sheaffer, and Parker. They make pen designs can be filled without having to
open the ink container in the early 20th century.
The pen is one of the most important discoveries that can now be found.
