History of the First Restaurant in the World

The restaurant first came to the world in 1765. A Boulanger is the name of the first restaurant in the world. This restaurant stands in the city of Paris. With the establishment of this restaurant, Paris has an important history for the birth of restaurants and culinary businesses in the world.

Do not imagine A Boulanger is like a restaurant today. There are not many menus served in this restaurant. A Boulanger does not have a menu list like today's restaurants. He only provides a single menu in the form of soup. But this is where the restaurant business began to develop and many other menus which later became the culinary business commodity.

After the restaurant business began in Paris, the first cafeteria in the world emerged that was believed to be present in Kansas City. This cafeteria is named YWCA and was founded in 1891. This cafeteria is considered a concept variant of the restaurant. The room provided by the cafeteria is simpler than a restaurant, and the menu is also more in the form of snacks.

From here then the restaurant business developed in various concepts to the present. There are traditional restaurants, fast food restaurants, cafes, and so on. Today, restaurants have become big business with many prominent entrepreneurs. Not only running a conventional business, restaurants also later developed into a worldwide franchise.
